(Eagle News)–The Palace has declared June 5 a regular holiday in the country.
The declaration contained in Proclamation No. 729 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea was in observance of Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadan for Muslims.
The proclamation said this was upon recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
Eid’l Fitr is celebrated by Muslims three days after the end of the month of their fasting.
