YouTube, Facebook also sued
(Eagle News)–A businessman accused of being linked to the illegal drug trade has sued Peter Joemel Advincula, and two social media giants for P1.1 billion in damages.
Elizaldy Co, owner of Misibis Bay Resort, filed the charges against Advincula, who claimed to be “Bikoy” in the “Ang Totoong Narco-list” videos who alleged Co’s resort was the headquarters of an illegal drug ring, and against Facebook and YouTube for their alleged failure to take down the videos upon his request.
Advincula on Thursday, May 23, said everything he said in the videos were “lies” orchestrated by the Liberal Party and Antonio Trillanes IV to oust President Rodrigo Duterte and to discredit Bong Go, the chief executive’s longtime aide who at that time was running for a seat in the Senate.
According to Advincula, under Project Sodoma, Vice President Leni Robredo would take the place of ousted Duterte, while Trillanes, whose term as senator expires in June, would be installed as vice president.
LP, Robredo and Trillanes have all denied the allegations.
