Comelec proclaims winning party-list bets in May 13 polls

(Eagle News)–The Commission on Elections on Wednesday, May 22, proclaimed the winning party-list groups in the May 13 polls.

The poll body, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, said all in all, 51 party-list groups will have a total of  61 seats in Congress.

The  Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support and Bayan Muna will have three seats each.

Ako Bicol, Cibac, Ang Probinsyano, One Pacman, Marino and Probinsiyano Ako will have two seats each, while the following will have one seat each:

  • Magsasaka;
  • Apec;
  • Gabriela;
  • An-Waray;
  • Coop-Natcco;
  • Alliance of Concerned Teachers;
  • Philreca;
  • Ako Bisaya;
  • Tingog Sinirangan;
  • Abono;
  • Buhay;
  • Duterte Youth;
  • Kalinga;
  • Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta;
  • Alona;
  • Recoboda;
  • Bagong Henerasyon;
  • Bahay;
  • CWS;
  • Abang Lingkod;
  • A-Teachers;
  • BHW;
  • Sagip;
  • Trade Union Congress of the Philippines;
  • Magdalo;
  • GP;
  • Manila Teachers;
  • RAM;
  • Anakalusugan;
  • Ako Padayon;
  • Aambis-Owa;
  • Kusug Tausug;

For a party-list bet to win a seat in Congress, it should have secured at least two percent of the total votes cast in the race for party-lists.

If a party-list bet gets votes that exceed the two percent, it shall be entitled to seats the number of which is proportionate to the number of votes the party-list bet received.

A winning party-list group shall have, however, a maximum of three seats in Congress.
