Scattered rainshowers, thunderstorms to continue to prevail in parts of PHL as LPA affects Visayas, Mindanao

(Eagle News)–Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms continue to prevail in parts of the country on Friday, May 10, as a low pressure area affects Visayas and Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, Northern Mindanao and Davao region will also have cloudy skies, while flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.

PAGASA said as of 2 p.m., the LPA was located  600 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and it was embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms this time due to the southwesterlies.

The rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

According to the weather bureau, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters.
