LPA spotted near Ilocos Norte

(Eagle News)—–The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a low pressure area spotted near Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, May 7.

PAGASA said as of 3 a.m., the LPA  was estimated 160 kilometers north northwest of Laoag City.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon ,CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Mindoro provinces, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are also possible.

The rest of the country, PAGASA said, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to occasionally strong winds and moderate to occasionally rough waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
