(Eagle News) — Public satisfaction in the performance of the Senate was at “very good,” while the House of Representatives’, the Supreme Court’s and the Cabinet’s were at “good,” a recent Social Weather Stations survey said.
According to the Fourth Quarter 2018 Social Weather Survey, 71% were satisfied with the Senate’s performance, while 13 percent were dissatisfied.
The net satisfaction rating of the Senate rose by one grade from good to very good, up by 10 points from the +48 it recorded in September 2018, the SWS said.
It said this was the highest since the +67 registered in August 2012.
According to the SWS, the 10-point rise in the overall net satisfaction with the Senate was due to increases in all areas, especially in Metro Manila.
House of Representatives
As for the House of Representatives, the SWS said 57 percent were satisfied with its performance, while 17 percent were dissatisfied.
According to the SWS, the House of Representatives’ net satisfaction rating was up by 4 points from the +36 in September 2018, the highest since the +42 in June 2016.
The rise in the overall net satisfaction rating of the House of Representatives was, according to the SWS, “due to increases in Metro Manila and the Visayas, combined with steady scores in Mindanao and Balance Luzon.”
Supreme Court
According to the SWS, 54 percent were satisfied and 17 percent were dissatisfied with the SC.
The SWS said this was up by 6 points from the +31 in September 2018 to +37 in December 2018.
The pollster attributed the overall improvement in the net satisfaction rating to increases in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, and the Visayas, coupled with a slight decline in Mindanao.
Cabinet
According to the SWS, 52 percent were satisfied with the Cabinet, and 17 percent were dissatisfied.
The +35 net satisfaction rating recorded in December 2018, the SWS said, was up by 3 points from the one recorded in September 2018.
It said it was also the highest since the +38 in December 2017.
According to the pollster, the increase in the Cabinet’s overall net satisfaction is attributed to the increases in Metro Manila and the Visayas, coupled with a “steady score” in Balance Luzon and a “slight decline” in Mindanao.
