(Eagle News)–The National Bureau of Investigation will also probe the killing of Ako Bicol partylist Rep. Rodel Batocabe, which based on initial NBI information, was “likely politically motivated.”
This was after Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra himself gave the order for the NBI to “assist the police” through its field operatives.
According to the DOJ statement, that the attack was “likely politically motivated” was based on initial investigation by NBI agents.
“A thorough inspection of the crime scene will be conducted soon in coordination with the PNP,” the DOJ said.
The police has said they were eyeing at least six suspects in the killing of Batocabe in Albay on Saturday, Dec. 22.
