(Eagle News)—-Seventy-eight percent of Filipinos are satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte’s  war on drugs, a recent Social Weather Stations survey said.

The second quarter 2018 survey conducted from June 27 to 30 showed only 13% were dissatisfied with the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs, yielding a net satisfaction rating of +65, classified by SWS as very good.

SWS said this was 1 point above the +64 (75% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied) in March 2018, also classified as very good.

According to SWS, the increase in nationwide net satisfaction was due to a “decrease in support in the Visayas offset by slight increases in support in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, and Mindanao.”

“Net satisfaction was lowest in the Visayas, falling by 12 points from the very good +69 (79% satisfied, 9% dissatisfied, correctly rounded) in March 2018 to +57 (74% satisfied, 16% dissatisfied, correctly rounded) in June 2018. It had previously ranged from +63 to +69 for five quarters since March 2017,” SWS said.

Net satisfaction in Mindanao, on the other hand, was highest, up by 3 points from the excellent+81 (87% satisfied, 6% dissatisfied).

In Metro Manila, net satisfaction went up  by 2 points, from the very good +65 (78% satisfied, 13% dissatisfied) in March, to +67 (79% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied) in June.

It also increased by 5 points in Balance Luzon, from the very good+53 (67% satisfied, 15% dissatisfied, correctly rounded) in March, to +58 (74% satisfied, 16% dissatisfied) in June, SWS said.

The survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Sampling error margins are pegged at ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
