(Eagle News)–The Quezon City government has revoked the business permit of Dimple Star Transport on Monday, after one of its buses fell into a cliff in Occidental Mindoro, killing 19 people.

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista said the company’s main terminal in Santolan, Quezon City was also ordered shut down.

“Noong tiningnan sa Quezon City Business Permits and Licensing Office, ang Dimple Star eh non-compliant sila. Tapos nagkaroon sila ng aksidente,” he said.

The shutdown and business permit revocation came after the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board issued a preventive suspension order against the company’s entire 118-unit fleet.

The incident that saw 19 people killed and 21 others injured took place on March 21.

Two days later, President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the arrest of Dimple Star owner Hilbert Napat, who surfaced on the same day before the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Crame.

He promised to cooperate with authorities.
