These photos showed the bullet-riddled vehicle of the Presidential Security Group, one of the two vehicles used in the convoy ambushed by suspected gunmen of the New People’s Army rebels.
At least five PSG men were wounded and one militiaman was killed in the attack that happened around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, in North Cotabato.
President Rodrigo Duterte warned the communist leaders he would not allow peace talks to continue if the NPA rebels would continue to attack government forces.
Malacanang has also dared the CPP-NPA to stand against a common enemy — the radical terrorists in Mindanao — instead of fighting government forces, if they really want to pursue peace.
