QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senator Leila De Lima is now back in the Philippines, after her trip to United States and Germany.
She went to the USA to receive recognition as one of the 100 foreign policy thinkers in Washington D.C. while the senator went to Germany for a speaking engagement.
Senator De Lima did not show up before the members of the media who awaited her arrival at the airport. The Qatar Airways plane carrying the senator arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 at 10:48 pm. Tuesday. Critics had earlier reacted negatively to Senator De Lima’s departure, saying that there is a possibility that the senator may not return due to the controversies that she is facing.
