A seven year old boy drowned when he swam in a canal in Manila due to heavy rains.
The victim was identified as Jonard Pinochio who was found dead at 3:45 a.m. Friday, June 27, at the Estero de Mapua in Manila.
The victim’s mother said Jonard had gone missing for five days before he was found dead at the Manila canal Friday dawn.
Reports said the boy decided to swim at the Estero de Mapua, near Blumentritt street in Manila Thursday afternoon (June 26) during the heavy rains. He was with friends at that time. He drowned and his friends were not able to save him.
