(Eagle News)–A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes on Sunday, August. 13
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 9:43 a.m.
The epicenter was 38 kilometers southwest of Sabtang.
The depth of focus was 10 kilometers.
The following instrumental intensity was reported:
Intensity I – Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte
No damage to property was reported.
Aftershocks, however, are expected.
