(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes early Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic, origin hit eight kilometers northwest of Itbayat at 12:54 a.m.
Depth of focus was 77 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
