(Eagle News)– A magnitude-4.7 earthquake struck Borongan City in Eastern Samar early Friday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 23 kilometers east of Borongan at 1:20 a.m.
The earthquake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of 20 kilometers.
It was felt at Intensity IV in Borongan City.
