4.0-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake hit Eastern Samar early Tuesday, Nov. 12.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 83 kilometers southeast of Guian at 2:47 a.m.

Depth of focus was 17 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
