(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, Jan. 17.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 12:28 p.m., had its epicenter 56 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos.
It had a depth of focus of 178 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
