3.6-magnitude quake hits Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Monday, Dec. 30.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, had its epicenter 65 kilometers southwest of Sabtang at 8:08 a.m.

Depth of focus was 11 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
