2018 bar exam results to be released on Friday, May 3 — SC

(Eagle News)–The results of the bar exams held in November 2018 will be released on Friday, May 3.

In a statement, the Supreme Court said this was after approval by the Supreme Court en banc in a special session.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo, chairperson of the 2018 Supreme Court Committee on Bar Examinations, will make the announcement at the SC front yard in Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.

“Afterwards, an LED wall will show the list of successful Bar examinees,” the SC said.

According to the High Court, the total number of 2018 Bar examinees—8,155—was the highest so far in the history of the Bar exams.

Of the 8,158 who initially took the Political Law and International Law and Labor Law and Social Legislation exams when the Bar exams started on November 4, 2018, the SC said two dropped out on Nov. 11 and 18, when the Civil Law and Taxation Law exams and the Mercantile Law and Criminal Law exams were administered, respectively.

The SC said another examinee dropped out on the last Bar Sunday, when the Remedial Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics and Practical Exercises exams were given.
