(Eagle News)–Two of the three private complainants who filed  syndicated estafa raps  against officials of Kapa Community Ministry International have withdrawn the charges.

During the preliminary investigation, Kim Ampo and Judith Ledicho swore on their affidavit of desistance before the Department of Justice panel of prosecutors.

The third private complainant, Virginia Ampo, is slated to file her affidavit of desistance before a provincial prosecutor and not before the DOJ because of her old age.

Before the swearing, two DOJ prosecutors asked Kim Ampo and Ledicho if they were aware  the National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region could charge them for withdrawing the charges.

In withdrawing the charges, based on their affidavit of desistance, Ampo and Ledicho said they did not fully understand the raps they were filing against Kapa in the first place.

They also denied they received threats or were bribed to withdraw the charges.

The DOJ panel set the next hearing to Sept. 10. Moira Encina
