17th Congress set to pass FOI bill

QUEZON City, Philippines – Several lawmakers set their sight for the passage of the Freedom of Information Bill this coming 17th Congress. According to Congressman Teddy Baguilat, the FOI bill is one of the first bills that he will propose in the new Congress. He added that he is pleased that President-elect Rodrigo Duterte gives importance to the FOI and plans to issue an executive order but he believes that the FOI will be more effective if it becomes a law.
