13 alleged ninja cops summoned as DOJ reopens probe into 2013 Pampanga raid

(Eagle News)–The Department of Justice has subpoenaed the 13 policemen behind the 2013 Pampanga raid as the DOJ reopened its probe following testimonies before a joint Senate panel hearing the issue of ninja cops.

Summoned for appearance on Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. were Police Major Rodney Baloyo IV, Senior Insp. Joven Bognot Jr., SP01 Jules Maniago, SP01 Donald Roque, SP01 Ronald Santos, SP01 Rommel Vital, SP01 Alcindor Tinio, SP01 Eligio Valeroso, P03 Dindo Dizon, P03 Gilbert de Vera, P03 Encarnacion Guerrero Jr., P02 Anthony Lacsamana and P03 Anthony Dizon.

The subpoena was signed by Assistant State Prosecutors Josie Christina Dugay and Gino Paolo Santiago.

Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Alexander Suarez was on official business.

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra earlier said he had created a three-member panel of prosecutors to reinvestigate the 13 policemen behind the drug raid in Mexico which the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group had said was irregular.

The CIDG said the policemen presented only over 36 kilograms of the 200 kilograms of shabu they seized from the raid, prompting speculations the 160 kilograms had been recycled.

The CIDG added the man the policemen arrested during the raid was not the man they presented to the media as their arrest.
