(Eagle News) — Overseas Filipino workers held a gathering to rally support for Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte in Macau, China.
The rally staged by the United Democracy and Duterte Supporters or United DDS was also held over the weekend, at about the same time that hundreds of thousands of people showed up in Manila to express their support for the President.
Eagle News Service correspondent in Macau, China Kit Wong interviewed some of those who came to the rally.
They criticized forces and personalities in the Philippines whom they said were trying to destabilize the Duterte administration. They said that Duterte was their duly-elected president and that they would fight for him, and defend their vote.
The rally was timed on the 31st anniversary of the EDSA People Power anniversary
