San Fernando, Cebu mayor wounded in ambush in Talisay

Three bodyguards killed, two other companions injured

(Eagle News)—Three people were killed after San Fernando Mayor Lakambini Reluya’s  vehicle was ambushed in Talisay, Cebu on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

According to the police, the three fatalities were bodyguards of Reluya, who survived the ambush in Barangay Linao, Talisay City, around 6 p.m. but was wounded.

Two of Reluya’s companions  were also injured.

They have not yet been identified.

The ambush took place after San Fernando Councilor Reneboy Dacalos and Johnny Arriesgado, barangay captain of Magsico in San Fernando were killed.

In March last year,  town councilor Alexander Alicaway was also killed.
