MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — In an opinion article by CNN that talks about the winners and losers in Asia, President Rodrigo Duterte was announced as the “big winner in Asia 2016” for his great effort in “rethinking and reshaping the state of affairs – for good or for bad– at home and abroad.”
Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella said that the article about the President written by former US ambassador to Asian Development Bank Curtis Chin and Southeast Asia analyst Jose B. Collazo was also featured in The Japan Times, a Japan’s English publication.
According to the CNN, Duterte is said to vow to “rebalance Philippines’ ties, improve the life of the average Filipino, and to make the country a one-time economic and trade powerhouse—great again.”
