Palace on Trillanes’ claim he was under surveillance: First it was drama, now it’s paranoia

(Eagle News) — The Palace on Tuesday, Sept. 18, said Senator Antonio Trillanes IV appeared to be suffering from “paranoia” after he said his house was under surveillance based on footage he released to the media.

“First it’s drama. And now it appears to be (that),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

Earlier, Trillanes released footage of vehicles that he said were roaming his house, proof, therefore, he said, that he was being monitored.

Trillanes, who has been holed up in the Senate since news of Proclamation No. 572 that declared the amnesty granted to the senator for the Oakwood mutiny and the Peninsula Manila siege in 2003 and 2007, respectively, also alleged several motorcycle-riding men tailed his vehicle that had just left the Senate for a refuel.

This prompted Trillanes to change his mind about leaving the Senate.
