Murder, frustrated murder raps filed vs five suspects in Jolo twin blasts, including Kamah

Charges for damage to property also filed vs them

(Eagle News)–Charges on Monday, Feb. 4, were filed against several suspects in the Jolo, Sulu blasts that killed at least 23 people and injured 95 others.

Twenty-three counts of murder, 95 counts of frustrated murder charges and charges for damage to property were filed against Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan alias Imam, Usman Absara aliad Usman, Barak Ingog alias Bars, Makrim Habisi alias Makrim, Kammah Pae alias Kamah, Albadji Gadali alias Awag, Radjan Gadali alias Radjar, Kaisar Gadali alias Issal, Salid Alih alias Papong, Absara, alias Ebing and several John Does and Jane Does before the Sulu Prosecutors Office.

Of those charged, Kamah, a commander of  the Abu Sayyaf’s Ajang Ajang group, the Gadjalis  and Alih have been arrested.

The others remain at large.

According to Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete, the five were subjected to inquest proceedings also today.

“The prosecutor has terminated the inquest proceedings and deemed submitted for resolution the case against the five (5) arrested suspects in the Jolo Cathedral bombing,” Perete said.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has said the blasts at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel cathedral were perpetuated by an Indonesian couple assisted by local terrorists.

He said the blasts were a “project” of Sawadjaan, who allegedly replaced Isnilon Hapilon as the  local terrorist leader recognized by the Islamic State.
