LTFRB to summon jeep driver in Edsa collision

(Eagle News)—The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board will summon the  driver of the jeep that collided with  a bus on the southbound lane of Edsa that injured at least 12 on Sunday, Feb. 10.

In a statement, the LTFRB said it would issue the show-cause order against Ignacio Cadayday.

Cadayday, according to traffic investigators crossed the intersection coming from East Ave. to Edsa in Quezon City even with the yellow traffic light on, causing it to collide with the Malanday Traffic Link bus driven by Allan Marino.

The incident happened past 6 a.m.

According to the LTFRB, it “continues to monitor the development of this case, particularly ensuring that all the victims receive benefits and assistance due them.”

“The LTFRB reminds all Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) companies and operators of their responsibility to provide roadworthy, safe, and convenient PUV units for the riding public,” it added.
