(Eagle News) — A former child star was arrested in a recent buy-bust operation in Quezon City.
Nabbed in the operation in Tandang Sora on Tuesday, July 31, was CJ Ramos, who appeared in movies such as “Tanging Yaman” in 2000, “Tumbasan mo ang Buhay” in 1993 and “Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure” in 1996.
The police said he was caught buying suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, from a woman, Novilla Guillen, who was the target of the operation in the first place.
In a television interview, Ramos, who broke down, admitted to taking drugs, noting that he had been using the same for 10 years, with a short hiatus, one year, in between.
He said he only needed “strength” to do his laundry.
“Sobrang addicting talaga nitong droga na ‘to, na nabiktima lang po ako talaga..Nung gabi na yun natukso lang talaga ako,” he said.
He said if he was given the chance, he would try and renew his life.
“Naging pulis sana ako (if not for the drugs),” he said.
Charges will be filed against Ramos and his co-accused.
