Duterte expresses dismay over resulting SWS Senate survey frontrunners

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday, Jan. 3, expressed dismay over the results of a recent Social Weather Stations survey on winning Senate bets in the 2019 polls, saying his bets were better choices for the people.

“I don’t want to derogate others pero nakita niyo yung nanguna sa survey?” he asked.

He then made a pitch for his candidates, including his former aide Bong Go, Francis Tolentino and former police chief Ronald dela Rosa, who did not figure in the “Magic 12” in the SWS survey that ranks reelectionist senators Cynthia Villar and Grace Poe among the top.

He said Tolentino was “dedicated,” while Dela Rosa has “proven integrity,” and Go, who has management degree from La Salle, his loyalty, having been his aide for 20 years.

“We have dedicated people here,” he said.
