Duterte cancels attendance to Bonifacio Day rites in Caloocan

(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte cancelled his attendance to the commemoration rites of the birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio in Caloocan.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, the President “has to fly to Mindanao to attend to the problem of insurgency in Mindanao.”

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea will take his place.

The President had been scheduled to attend wreath-laying rites at the Bonifacio Monument.
