DFA: No Filipinos killed in train crash in Turkey

(Eagle News)–No Filipinos were killed in a recent train crash in Turkey, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

In a statement, the DFA also expressed its condolences to the families of the seven killed in the incident in Ankara on Thursday, Dec. 13.

More than 40–or 46–were injured in the train crash.

In a televised address, Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin said  that the train was on its way to Turkey’s central province of Konya when the incident took place.

Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing.
