Año: Indonesian, his wife left their 10-year-old daughter with Abu Sayyaf supporter days before they carried out twin blasts in Jolo, Sulu

(Eagle News) — The Indonesian couple who carried out the twin blasts at Jolo, Sulu in January left their 10-year-old daughter with an Abu Sayyaf supporter days before.

This is according to Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, who spoke to reporters on Thursday, Feb. 7.

According to Año,  they were now looking for the child of Abu Huda and his wife, who was not identified.

Earlier, Año said Huda arrived in the country way before his wife, who he said arrived only in December.

He said in carrying out the blasts at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, the couple had wanted to “set an example” to Filipinos for them to become suicide bombers.

Año said the couple was assisted by local terrorists in carrying out the attack.
