“Amang” weakens into LPA; all tropical cyclone warning signals lifted

(Eagle News)–“Amang” has weakened into a low pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

In its 8 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said “Amang” weakened into an LPA at 5 p.m.

As of 7 p.m., the LPA, PAGASA said, is located 85 kilometers east of Catarman, northern Samar.

All tropical cyclone warning signals have been lifted, but light to moderate rains are expected over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon and northern Samar, possibly with heavy rains at times, within the next 24 hours due to the LPA, along with the tail-end of a cold front.

Fisherfolk and those with small seacraft are advised not to venture out over the seaboards of northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon and Visayas due to the surge of the northeast monsoon.
