Nineteen druglords have been brought to the National Bureau of Investigation from the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City.

This was after no less than Justice Secretary Leila de Lima conducted a surprise inspection of the facility on Monday, December 15, 2014, and found that that the maximum security compound of NBP had such amenities as a jacuzzi, sauna, music studio for the drug lords imprisoned there.  She also discovered various drug paraphernalia and cash inside the NBP’s maximum security compound.

These amenities were found in the cells or “kubol” of inmates Peter Co and Herbert Colangco.

The transfer of the druglords to the NBI was done to stop their illegal activities which were apparently being allowed inside the NBP.
