126 killed, 75 injured due to “Usman”

(Eagle News)–Over 100 people were killed and more than 70 were injured after Tropical Depression “Usman” hit the country.

Based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management’s latest count, as of 6 a.m. om Sunday,  deaths due to “Usman” reached 126 and 75 others were  injured in Regions IV-B, V, and VIII.

Twenty-six people were also reported missing.

According to the NDRRMC, 150,877 families or 657,777 individuals were affected in 952 barangays in Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, and VIII.

The total damage caused by “Usman” was valued at P4,249,398,276, with the damage in agriculture pegged at P948,693,776 and in infrastructure at P3,300,704,500.

In CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V, VI and VIII, 215 areas were flooded.
