Yellow alert in effect over Luzon grid on Friday, May 17

(Eagle News)–A yellow alert will be in effect over the Luzon grid on Friday, May 17.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said the alert, which means reserves do not meet required minimum levels, is in effect from 1 to 3 p.m.

Available Capacity was at 12,034 MW, while peak demand at 11,112 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
