Waste Management & New Airport Discussed

PANGLAO, BOHOL : A forum was conducted regarding the Septage Treatment Plant  in Panglao, Bohol. Present at the forum were Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto and Congressman Rene Relampagos, Chairman of the Committee on Tourism of the House of Representative.

This was the first time they made a coordination meeting in the city pertaining to the implementation of new Bohol Airport.

It was announced during the forum that the Sustainable Environment Protection will start this month of April. This is to ensure the cleanliness of the site, where the future Bohol Airport will be built.

According to Governor Chatto, it is important that attention be given to the waste and environmental management of the Airport project in Bohol, for it will be known more as the Eco-Airport of the country. Meanwhile, they expect to have a coordination meeting again on April 15, 2015, simultaneous with the project site inspection at DOTC, JICA, Mitsubishi-Chiyoda Joint Venture (Bohol Airport project consultant), and the Local project management team.
