(Eagle News)—-Two people were killed after a fire razed a residential area in Cainta, Rizal on Sunday, Feb. 3.
The fatalities in the incident on Ortigas Avenue and Felix Avenue in Barangay Santo Domingo were identified as Maria Refol Cabucas, 81, and John Bell Lorenzo, 26.
Authorities said the two may have suffocated because of the blaze that hit at 5:06 p.m. and spread to an adjacent subdivision.
The fire reached the Task Force Alpha alarm and was declared out only hours later, at 9:58 p.m.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
