Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Dalupiri, Fuga, and Apayao, particularly in Flora and Santa Marcela, and in Cagayan, particularly in Alcala, Lasam and Santo Niño within 30 minutes to an hour.

The same conditions are being experienced in Camiguin, Cagayan, particularly in Allacapan, Aparri Camalanuigan, Gattaran and Lallo.

PAGASA said these may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

“Residents along mountain slopes are advised against possible landslides and flashfloods,” PAGASA said.
