Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are being experienced over Nueva Viscaya, particularly in Kayapa; in Ifugao particularly in Hungduan, Banaue; in Mt. Province, particularly in Sagada, Bontoc; and in Kalinga, particularly in Lubuagan.

PAGASA said these conditions may persist for one to two hours and may affect nearby areas.

“Residents of mountain slopes are advised (against) possible landslides mudslides, rock slides and flash floods,” PAGASA said.
