(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur and Surigao del Sur within 1 to 2 hours.
These conditions are being experienced in Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, particularly in Claveria, Gingoog; in Agusan del Sur in Loreto, Veruela, La Paz, and San Luis; in Davao del Norte, in Kapalong, SanIasidro, Talaingod, Santo Tomas and New Corella; in Davao de Oro, in Laak, Monkayo,Compostela; and in North Cotabato, in M’Lang and Arakan.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
