(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Zamboanga Sibugay, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte and Zamboanga City within one to two hours.
These conditions are being experienced in Iligan City; Misamis Oriental in Lugait, Manticao, Naawan, Initao; Lanao del Sur in Malabang, Balabagan, Marogong; Zamboanga del Norte; Zamboanga del Sur, particularly in Dumingag, Midsalip, Sominot, Mahayag, Ramon Magsaysay, Molave, Tambulig, Josefina; Sultan Kudarat, particularly in Columbio; Maguindanao, specifically in Pagalungan; Davao del Sur particularly in Malalag; and in Davao de Oro, in Nabunturan.
The same conditions are also being experienced in Davao del Norte, particularly in New Corella; South Cotabato, particularly in Tamapakan, Tupi, Surallah; North Cotabato, particularly in Tulunan, M’lang; and in Sarangani, particularly in Malungon.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
