(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Zamboanga del Norte and Camiguin.
These conditions are being experienced in Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, particularly in Initao, Libertad, Gitagum, Naawan, Lugait, Sugbong Cogon and Binuangan; in Lanao del Norte, in Iligan, Linamon, Kauswagan; n Maguindanao; Sultan Kudarat, particularly in Lebak, Esperanza; and in Davao Oriental, in Gov. Generoso and Mati.
PAGASA said these conditions may persist within one to two hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
