(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Sulu, Misamis Oriental, Maguindanao, Sarangani and South Cotabato within one to two hours.
These conditions are being experienced in Agusan del Norte; Lanao del Norte; Lanao del Sur; Zamboanga del Norte; Zamboanga Sibugay; Zamboanga del Sur; Basilan; Sultan Kudarat, particularly in Kalamansig, Palimbang, Lebak, Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Isulan; Davao del Norte in Kapalong, Asuncion; Davao de Oro in Maco, Mabini; Bukidnon in Talakag, Baungon, Libona, Pangantucan, Kadingilan, Don Carlo, Kitaotao; Agusan del Sur in Esperanza; Surigao del Norte, in Malimono, Mainit, SiargaoIs, SocorroIs; Dinagat Islands; and in North Cotabato, particularly in Banisilan, Carmen and Kabacan.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
