Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Davao City, Davao del Norte, Maguindanao, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte and Surigao del Norte within one to two hours.

These conditions are being experienced in Bukidnon in Talakag, Damulog, Pangantucan, Kalilangan, Valencia, Maramag, Kadingilan; Misamis Oriental in Cagayan de Oro; North Cotabato in Alamada, Banisilan, Matalam; in Lanao del Sur in Bubong, Maguing, Lumba-Bayabao, Bumbaran, Wao; in Davao de Oro in  Pantukan, Maragusan, Mabini, New Bataan; in Davao Oriental in Banaybanay, Mati, Tarragona; in Surigao del Sur in Carrascal, Madrid, Lanuza; and in Zamboanga del Sur in Labangan and in Pagadian.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
