4.1-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)—A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Saturday, May 11. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 64 kilometers southeast of Marihatag at 7:05 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 19 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Strong 6.3-magnitude quake hits southern Japan, no tsunami threat

4.1-magnitude quake hits E. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Eastern Samar on Thursday, May 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 6.5-magnitude quake that hit the province on April 26, struck 77 kilometers northeast of San Julian at 2:38 p.m. The depth of focus was 36 kilometers. Intensity I was felt in Borongan City. PHIVOLCS said no damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.7-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Wednesday, May 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude quake that hit Surigao del Norte on April 26,  hit 86 kilometers southeast of General Luna at 5:39 a.m. The quake had a depth of focus of 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Monday, May 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 38 kilometers northeast of Burgos at 5:18 a.m. The depth of focus of the quake was 8 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks are expected.  

3.4-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Friday, May 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude quake in the province on April 26, hit 65 kilometers southeast of General Luna at 4:05 a.m. The depth of focus was 9 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected, PHIVOLCS said.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Tuesday, April 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which was of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers southeast of Lingig at 3:46 a.m. The depth of focus was 29 kilometers.
