Red, yellow alerts hoisted over Luzon grid

(Eagle News) — Balik na sa normal na operasyon ang lahat ng transmission lines at pasilidad na naapektuhan ng tropical depression “Maring,” ito ay ayon sa ulat ng National Grid Corporation (NGCP). Kabilang sa mga transmission line na nakumpuni at dinadaluyan na muli ng kuryente ay ang Batangas-Bolboc line at Gumaca – Lopez -Tagkawayan line sa CALABARZON. Midnight deals na pinasok umano ng Meralco, pinabulaanan

Eagle News — Balik normal na sa pagsu-supply ng kuryente sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), ang isa sa dalawang pasilidad ng ‘first gen corporation’ na napinsala ng ‘Batangas quake’. Meralco energizes 26,321 households as of December

TAGUIG CITY, Dec. 28 – MANILA ELECTRIC Co. (Meralco) has energized 26,321 households as of mid-December, a figure which includes the 2,661 service areas identified by the Energy department where marginalized customers badly needed electricity. Meralco said since July 8, it had brought electricity to 1,246 homes in Gaya-gaya in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Mindanao, inilagay na sa red alert

Inilagay na sa red alert ang buong Mindanao dahil sa sa generation deficiency o kaunting suplay ng kuryente ayon sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). Dahil dito, ayon sa ahensya, inaasahan na ang rotating brownouts sa Mindanao kaugnay na rin anila ng zero megawatt na contigency reserves sa Mindanao. Napag-alaman ding magkukulang ng 49 megawatts na reserve power ang Mindanao Grid kaugnay ng pagbagsak ng Quezon Power Plant.  

Longer brownouts in Davao due to depleting power source

Mindanao  is now  feeling the  effects of El Niño phenomenon  that has  affected the operations of the Agus and Pulangi Hydropower Complexes (APHC), which supplies nearly half of the island’s power supply. Power supply in damaged areas

Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla said that it will not take one week for the power supply to return to normal in damaged areas. He added that such damage in power supply only occurred in isolated areas. Areas experiencing loss of power supply include Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, La Union and Pangasinan. He also said that all transmission lines are back to normal as well as the distribution utilities of the cooperatives.
