Taal update: Volcano still on alert level 1, eight volcanic quakes recorded

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Quezon early Saturday, May 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:28 a.m., had its epicenter 36 kilometers northeast of Jomalig. It had a depth of four kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Zamboanga del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Zamboanga del Sur on Friday, May 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 10:38 a.m., had its epicenter four kilometers northeast of Pagadian City. It had a depth of 27 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Leyte

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Leyte today, May 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 4:15 a.m, had its epicenter seven kilometers southwest of Villaba. It had a depth of 11 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Isabela

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Isabela on Thursday, April 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:48 p.m., had its epicenter 46 kilometers northeast of Palanan. It had a depth of eight kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.4-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, April 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 1:46 a.m., had its epicenter 251 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of 53 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits S. Leyte

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Southern Leyte on Wednesday, April 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 12:08 p.m., had its epicenter 11 kilometers northeast of Hinunangan. It had a depth of five kilometers. Intensity I was recorded in Surigao City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.3-magnitude quake hits E. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Eastern Samar today, April 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 7:12 a.m., had its epicenter 53 kilometers northeast of Hernani. It had a depth of 56 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.4-magnitude quake hits Ilocos Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Ilocos Norte today. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:15 a.m., had its epicenter 112 kilometers northwest of Burgos. It had a depth of 23 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

5.2-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Monday, April 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:48 a.m., had its epicenter 164 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. It had a depth of 64 kilometers. The following instrumental intensity was recorded: Intensity I – Malungon and Alabel, Sarangani No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.7-magnitude quake hits Ilocos Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magitude earthquake struck Ilocos Norte on Sunday, April 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 6:02 a.m., had its epicenter 78 kilometers northwest of Currimao. It had a depth of 34 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Sultan Kudarat

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Sultan Kudarat early Saturday, April 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:11 a.m., hit nine kilometers southeast of Columbio. It had a depth of 8 kilometers. Intensity I was reported in Kidapawan. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
