PASUQUIN, Ilocos Norte (Eagle News) – A 3.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the town of Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte on Wednesday. The quake was recorded at 9:43 a.m., 32 kilometers north of Pasuquin. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the earthquake has a depth of 27 kilometers and is of tectonic origin. Earthquakes jolt Davao Occidental, Occidental Mindoro
(Eagle News) — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Saturday afternoon. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake jolted the province at 1:54 p.m., minutes after another of a 4.5 magnitude shook Davao Occidental. Depth of focus of the second earthquake was pegged at 28 kilometers. There were no reported casualties.
4.9-magnitude quake jolts Surigao del Sur
(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur, on Friday, June 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake–with a depth of focus pegged at six kilometers– hit Bislig at 9:44 a.m. The earthquake was felt at Intensity IV in Bislig City, and Intensity III in Hinatuan. No damage nor aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs said.
